In 2025, Bright Spot Network grew by more than 20%, supporting over 2,400 families navigating a parent’s cancer diagnosis while raising young children. The families are balancing school drop-offs, dinner routines, and childhood milestones alongside treatment schedules, side effects, and uncertainty.

As cancer continues to rise among young adults ages 19–50, the need for support continues to grow. Bright Spot Network provides tools to help parents talk with their children about cancer, support groups for parents and loved ones, groups for kids, free books and art kits, financial assistance, and a community that reminds families they are not alone.

Meet the Organization

Bright Spot Network

Bright Spot Network is a national nonprofit providing young cancer survivors who are parents of small children with a safe space for individual and familial healing, recovery and reconnection. We focus on parents and guardians who are caring for young children at the time of diagnosis, including those diagnosed during pregnancy. We offer virtual support groups, tools for talking to kids about cancer, art kits to help connect parents and kids, financial assistance grants, kids groups, educational web resources, and more. All programs are offered free of charge.
