About Us

Founded in 1901, HSCC has been serving both animals and people for more than 123 years. We help thousands of animals find homes and provide critical medical care to thousands more each year. Our mission is to ensure that every pet has a loving home and that every pet owner has access to the resources they need to give those pets happy, healthy lives.

About the Event

HSCC’s signature event, Black Tie & Tails Benefit, will roll out the red carpet on June 7, 2024 at the Vermont National Country Club. Please join us to celebrate the power of the human-animal bond while having a ball at Vermont’s most paw-some fundraiser of the year! Attendees will enjoy live music from the Grippo Funk Band, comedy from Josie Leavitt, light hors-d'œuvres and signature cocktails, dancing, auction items, special guests, and more, all while supporting our 124-year-old animal shelter. All funds raised will support the Humane Society’s critical community programs focused on keeping people and their pets together.

The dress code is "Vermont" cocktail attire. Meaning, come however you feel comfortable, but feel free to dress your best while supporting a great cause!
