Founded in 1901, HSCC has been serving both animals and people for 125 years. We care for thousands of homeless animals each year and provide affordable veterinary care to more than 5,000 pets annually. Our mission is to ensure that every pet has a loving home and that every pet owner has access to the resources they need to give those pets happy, healthy lives.

About the Event

HSCC’s signature event, Black Tie & Tails Benefit, will roll out the red carpet on Saturday, June 7, at Hula. Please join us to celebrate the power of the human-animal bond while having a ball at Vermont’s most paw-some fundraiser of the year! Attendees will enjoy a welcome beverage of wine from Iron Wolf Wines or Rhu-bark Rum Punch from Mad River Distillers, delectable hors-d'œuvres from bevo, live music from the Patricia Julien Trio, a dance floor tuned by DJ Matthew Parillo, all while supporting our beloved animal shelter.

All funds raised will support the Humane Society’s critical community programs focused on keeping people and their pets together.

The dress code is cocktail attire, and all guests are encouraged to wear an animal-themed accent piece (leopard print tie, cat jewelry, etc.) if desired! All the glam will be captured by Photobooth Planet and photojournalist James Buck with WCAX news anchor Cat Viglienzoni hosting.

Visit our online auction for some exciting experiences such as a one-week stay in a Costa Rica villa, a four-day stay on Lake Carmi, round-trip tickets to almost anywhere, and more! The winners will be announced during the event.
