Who We Are

Arkansas has consistently ranked among the top 10 states for teen birth rates for more than a decade.

Countless young women in our state encounter challenges such as poverty, food insecurity, abuse, and neglect while transitioning into motherhood. Compassion House stands out as the ONLY nonprofit teen maternity home of its kind in the state, dedicated to supporting pregnant and parenting teens aged 11 to 17 in Northwest Arkansas for more than thirty years.

What We Do

The majority of our residents are referred to Compassion House due to an active Families In Need of Services (FINS) case within the Arkansas juvenile court system. We engage with these young women during a pivotal moment in their lives, particularly when they are pregnant teenagers. Our dedicated team supports these individuals as they cultivate essential life skills and establish a new trajectory for themselves and their children.

We collaborate closely with each resident through comprehensive case management, crafting a personalized development plan tailored to their specific needs. Each resident is assigned a mentor, a labor coach, and additional support outlined below:

What is the Baby Ball?

The Baby Ball serves as our largest fundraiser, contributing over 30% of our annual budget. All proceeds will directly support the free programs we offer. Together, we can advance the mission of Compassion House, which is to support pregnant teens and young mothers.

As a nonprofit charity celebrating our 36th year, Compassion House warmly invites you to please join Compassion House and the master of ceremonies Jason Suel for a night out supporting a wonderful cause! Compassion House is thrilled to announce the return of the fifth annual Baby Ball gala, presented by Sam’s Furniture, on March 20 at Northwest Arkansas Convention Center located in Springdale. The evening will include drinks, dinner, silent and live auction, plus inspirational speakers!

2026 Baby Ball funds our core programs:

Nutrition and Housing: Providing nutritious meals for the residents of Compassion House and Renee’s House.
The Baby Barn Boutique: Addressing the needs of families in Benton and Washington Counties by offering new and gently used baby items.
Teen Survivors Program: Assisting young mothers who are survivors of abuse, neglect, and trauma in accessing therapy and counseling services.
Financial Peace: Educating mothers on how to break the cycle of generational poverty by gaining control over their finances.
Education, Graduation, and Beyond: Ensuring that every mother obtains a high school diploma or its equivalent to disrupt patterns of inadequate education.
