For over 25 years, we have been bringing free, local, and immersive nature education and STEM student programs to our community. And we are so excited to announce this new way to support our mission of inspiring students to get outdoors, build life-long skills like hard work and creativity, and become stewards of our native Kansas ecosystems.

Nearly 300,000 people visited the Great Plains Nature Center and its Wichita Wild Habitat area trails in Chisholm Creek Park last year, proving how central we are to this community. In our Linking Students to Nature programming, our staff Naturalists reached a staggering 31,063 students of all ages last year alone, through 981 educational and community programs. We worked with 142 schools around our region, and we're proud to say that 2024 was year for the books. Want to hear more about what we do every day?
