2025 Honoree Spotlights

Liz Sargent

CIDA is proud to honor Liz Sargent, an award-winning filmmaker and director of Take Me Home, and her sister, Anna, at our 2025 Beyond Limits Gala.Liz’s deeply personal short film Take Me Home debuted at the Sundance Film Festival and is now being adapted into a full-length feature. As a Korean American adoptee and sibling to a disabled individual, Liz’s work highlights the complexities of family, identity, and caregiving with remarkable authenticity. Through her storytelling, Liz brings visibility to the experiences of individuals with disabilities and their families, sparking critical conversations on care, acceptance, and representation. We are thrilled to celebrate her contributions and advocacy at this year’s gala.Stay tuned - more honorees and event details will be announced soon!

Jeffrey A. Kraut, Northwell Health

We are honored to recognize Northwell Health for its leadership in creating meaningful pathways for individuals with disabilities. Through initiatives like the Nassau Day Training Program and Neurodiversity in the Workplace, Northwell expands employment, mentorship, and community integration opportunities. Northwell’s work powerfully reflects CIDA’s vision of sustainable inclusion, ensuring every person can access jobs, community life, and independence.

Jeffrey A. Kraut is Executive Vice President, Strategy at Northwell Health, New York’s largest healthcare provider, and a nationally recognized expert in health policy and strategic planning. He leads system-wide growth initiatives, serves as Chair of the New York State Public Health and Health Planning Council, and has helped develop the Statewide Health Information Network for New York (SHIN-NY).

Jeff has received the American Hospital Association’s Leadership Excellence Award and is a Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine.

2025 Gala Emcee

Vivian Lee

Vivian Lee (she/her) is an Emmy-winning and multiple Emmy-nominated TV journalist, public speaker, moderator and producer in New York.

She is currently a correspondent and producer for the magazine show 'Asian American Life' on CUNY-TV.

She garnered her third Emmy nomination last year for producing and hosting CUNY-TV’s 2023 special presentation, 'The Forgotten War: 70 Years After The Armistice.'

Prior to joining CUNY-TV, Vivian anchored and reported the news on NY1 between 2008 and 2020, covering stories of national and international importance. From the Covid-19 pandemic and social justice protests, to the 2020 general election; from Hurricane Sandy’s devastation of New York City to Pope Francis’ historic election and subsequent visit to the US, Vivian has been on the ground reporting or leading coverage from the anchor desk for more than 20 years. She also hosted Spotlight New York, a weekly magazine show on the arts and culture landscape of the five boroughs.
