Helping Hands of Georgetown passionately works with other stakeholders throughout the community to provide a hand up for those who are underserved by offering equitable access to basic necessities including food, clothing, shelter, and financial aid assistance to those in need.

In 2023, we dug in our heels and implemented some positive transitions as an organization in order to focus on our effectiveness throughout the Georgetown community. Seeing the rapidly rising need for food security and shelter has made it even more crucial for us to expand our reach and impact in 2024. And we know this is not something we can accomplish alone! It has been because of support from the generous and compassionate residents of Georgetown that we have been able to continue carrying out our mission for the past eight years.

This year, we are holding a Southern Surf ‘n’ Turf Shindig to help raise awareness and funding for our community support programs. We are working on the final phases of our Helping Hands Community Garden and hope to establish a permanent severe weather shelter!
