Rivers of Hope is a non-profit, 501(c)(3), organization that was founded in 1989 by a group of Elk River citizens concerned with the problems of domestic violence in their community who wanted to do something to address it.

For the past 35 years Rivers of Hope has been supporting victims and survivors of domestic violence by offering free advocacy to youth and adults. Our Adult Services include assisting with filing Orders for Protection and Harassment Restraining Orders, Court Preparation and Accompaniment, Safety Planning, and identifying available resources. Our Youth Advocates go into the schools to meet with students experiencing family or teen dating violence to offer support, and cover a variety of healthy relationship related topics.
