We compete against the BEST bands in THE most competitive region in the U.S. (with less funding!)

64% of Eanes tax revenue is “recaptured” & sent to less affluent Texas schools – district funding limited which puts our band at a significant disadvantage when compared to other same-class bands.

**It's up to US -- Westlake Band Parents -- to close the funding gap every year to maintain our legacy of excellence!**

WHAT WE FUND: Westlake Band Parents (WBPs) funds critical band expenses not covered by EISD & student fees, like:

Air-conditioned charter buses for long-haul trips and competitions (vs. school buses)
Special education, competition, and other experiences for band students & directors
Key marching season equipment like custom props, uniforms, and other extras
Composers, show designers, choreographers, guest instructors, judges & consultants enabling WHS to compete at an ELITE level
Student Financial Assistance to help all students participate to fullest extent possible (travel/trips, fees, private lessons)
Meal subsidies for students, drivers, CHAPerones to ensure our kids & hardworking helpers eat WELL!
Band banquet funding (seniors attend free)

Patron donations to support Chap Band flow through Westlake Band Parents, a 501(c)(3) booster club established in 1976 whose sole purpose is to support the student musicians of Eanes ISD middle & high schools, enabling the highest quality music education and youth development experiences.
