Dear Friends, I was introduced to the limitless possibilities of self and social growth through music when my two kids started learning music education through Rhythm and Beat Explorer classes six years ago at this amazing organization, ChiME (Chicago Center for Music Education). Thousands of children in Chicago city do not have access to meaningful music experiences as it is not a mandated part of the curriculum in Chicago public schools. Imagine that gap in access to the many benefits of music education from early childhood! ChiME's passionate team works hard to address this gap in access to music education regardless of learning differences or socio-economic background. ChiME provides access to an inclusive, supportive community where children can grow and thrive through music. I am deeply honored to join the board of ChiME and be part of this impactful work for the Chicagoland community. ChiME started music education in the Cabrini-Green neighborhood in 1980s and now, in 2025, ChiME reaches approximately 3,300 children all over Chicago through music programs. If we hit our fundraising goal, we will be able to increase the number of classrooms by 10%. This could mean 400 more children with special needs and/or from economically disadvantaged families could get access to music education. Your support will help make it possible for 400 more children to reach their true potential through music. Please help support this meaningful cause.
