The Mezcla Spring Showcase is an annual intimate community gathering of filmmakers that celebrates the dynamic work coming from within the Mezcla community.

Our 2025 theme, Many Faces of Love - Kin & Kindred explores the beauty and complexities of relationships, whether through chosen families, close knit communities, or unexpected bonds. We are celebrating how connection and support systems can heal, inspire and empower us. A portion of this year’s ticket sales and sponsorships will go towards our Fall 2025 Microgrant program, to encourage more creation of work.

Mezcla Media Collective is a Chicago-based film organization dedicated to providing resources and advocating for equity for over 750 BIPOC women and non-binary filmmakers. Mezcla exists solely to uplift and support filmmakers in the Midwest through educational workshops, networking and developing a hyperlocal community.
