WHAT IS DOLL INVASION? A new annual tradition galvanizing all trans people to journey in solidarity to the Pines for a historic fundraising event. You’ve never seen the island like this before.

WHO COMES? Doll Invasion is welcome to all and entry is FREE for trans people. Cis allies donate at the door to our nonprofits. CREEPS AND TRANSPHOBES WILL BE EJECTED <3

WHAT IS FIRE ISLAND? A lush, community-driven safe haven for queer New Yorkers since the 1920s. The island holds decades of drag history, AIDS-era solace, and all-star residents from the fine art, architecture, fashion industries. Over the years, the island has become financially inaccessible to most outside of the “G” in LGBTQ+. Invasion is the answer to that problem.

WHAT IS THE MISSION? Anyone who loves the island believes this paradise should be shared. We provide robust travel info, cash stipends for those in need, free commutes, and trans-led programming in a place they never get it. We are not the first to diversify the Island, but merely joining the effort with those already doing the work. We work with residents, property owners, local businesses, and island-based nonprofits to produce this event.

Doll Invasion is a not-for-profit venture. Every member of our team & talent agrees to an equitable rate so that we can raise as much as we can for our nonprofit partners which support the material needs and artistry of trans people nationally and locally.

QUEER|ART is a cross-generational, multidisciplinary provider of mentorship, grants, exhibitions, retreats, residencies, and retreats for LGBTQ+ artists across the country.

ADVOCATES FOR TRANS EQUALITY (EDUCATION FUND) fights for the rights of trans people in America through policy work, grassroots organizing, voter engagement, healthcare access, and legal services.

WHAT’S ON THIS YEAR?

DOLL BUSES Thanks to the Working Families Party, we’ll provide two buses commuting trans people en mass from Brooklyn to the Sayville Ferry Service for free. On the bus, they will learn about WFP’s work and the importance of voting in local elections on the WFP line.

DJS & DRAG We curate the best trans drag artists and DJ’s to set the vibe and give poolside shows throughout the day.

WILLIE NORRIS' POOLSIDE ATELIER Bring your own deadstock and get a screen-printed original from the legendary design auteur.

PHOTO MOMENTS New York Times photographer Justin J. Wee will be taking gorgeous portraits of trans attendees at a dedicated photobooth. Met Gala photographer Hunter Abrams will be onsite as our dedicated papa-paparazzi.

CECILIA! This year, Doll Invasion lost its greatest matriarch, Cecilia Gentili, a purveyor of trans joy, sexuality, and coin. In a continuation of her legacy, Invasion is working with her family on a special in memoriam celebration.

A4TE TRANS RESOURCE CENTER Advocates for Trans Equality will be connecting trans attendees with resources from their Name Change Project, Trans Health Project and ID Documents Center, and cis attendees with ways to get involved in fighting for trans rights nationwide.

GEENA ROCERO’S KAMAYAN DINNER The supermodel artist and author cooks an invite-only Filipina-traditional dinner for the team, talent, and donors over $20,000 in a community-building event the night before.
