My Grandfather was a leader in his community...a strong, kind, commanding man with a sharp intellect. I watched Alzheimer's completely change his personality and turn him into a shell of the man he once was. I also watched my mom care for them day after day. She carried the physical, emotional, and mental toll of being a caregiver with little to no respite, putting her own needs aside to care for the people she loved. Seeing her exhaustion and stress firsthand made it clear how much caregivers sacrifice and how much support they need. That is why I am fundraising for the ARK. The ARK provides vital respite care, giving caregivers a much-needed break and families the support they deserve. Your donation helps ensure that no caregiver has to carry this burden alone and that families facing Alzheimer’s and dementia receive compassion, relief, and hope.
