The Krewe of Dolly is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit partner of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library we promote early
childhood literacy throughout the year via book donations, reading events, and Imagination Library funding.
With 315 members and growing, the Krewe supports our mission through social appearances, literacy
outreach, and fundraising. We’re reaching out to you for help with our largest fundraising event of the year:
our 2nd Annual Dolly’s Birthday Bash.

What is Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library?
Founded in 1995, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library sends free, high-quality books to children from birth to
age 5, regardless of income. This year, Dolly’s Imagination Library reached the milestone of 1 million books
mailed. In September, the program expanded statewide in Louisiana with the goal of making books
available to children in every parish. The state provides a 50% funding match with partners of the
Imagination Library.
