Hello,

We appreciate your support to help us service the community. Here is a little information about what JA is and what we do in the community we all love.

Junior Auxiliary of Hancock County (JA) is an inclusive organization of women dedicated to serving children, families, and our community. As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, our members volunteer their time, talents, and resources to make a meaningful difference throughout Hancock County.

Our chapter received its official charter from the National Association of Junior Auxiliaries, Inc. in 2019. Since then, our members have continued to grow our impact through hands-on service projects, community partnerships, and programs that support children and families in our area.

Our Service Projects throughout the year, our members serve our community through projects including:

Adopt a Classroom – supporting local teachers and classrooms with needed supplies and resources.
Sensory Social – creating inclusive opportunities and supportive experiences for children with sensory needs.
Touch a Truck – providing children with an exciting, hands-on experience with community vehicles and the people who operate them.
CASA Easter Baskets – providing Easter baskets to children served through CASA.
Share the Warmth – collecting and providing coats and warm clothing to children in need.
Thanksgiving Boxes – helping local families enjoy a Thanksgiving meal together.
Growing Together – supporting children and families through meaningful community outreach.
Crown Club – encouraging and supporting young women through mentorship and service.
JA Week Project – celebrating Junior Auxiliary and bringing our members together in service to our community.
Pearlington Back to School Bash – helping local children prepare for a successful school year.
Crown Scholarship – providing scholarship support to deserving people in the education field.
On Call – responding to community needs as they arise throughout the year.
Trunk or Treat – providing a fun, safe Halloween experience for local children and families.
Bucks for Books – supporting literacy and helping put books into the hands of children.

Our dedication to service has also been recognized with numerous awards, including the Martha Wise Award, Mary Carole Bowers Outstanding Service Project Award, Wilma Johnson Wilbanks National Focus Award, Cindy Roos Spirit Award, Norma DeLong Education Award, Eleanor Slaughter Award, Louise Eskridge Crump Award, as well as More Members Matter, Efficiency, and Awesome Attendance Awards.

Your support helps us turn generosity into real opportunities, resources, and experiences for the children and families we serve. Every donation helps us continue this important work right here in Hancock County.

Thank you for believing in JA and supporting our mission.

Sincerely,

JAHCO - We Love Hancock County!
