In 2002, Insight Garden Program (IGP) launched our first program at San Quentin State Prison where we transformed a bleak corner of a prison yard into a living classroom and healing space. As our garden grew, so did our sense of community, dignity, and belonging.

This year’s 20th anniversary marks a critical time for all of us to reflect on all that we’ve accomplished and ignite our shared vision with you as we move forward together.

Together, we are deepening our connection to ourselves, our community, and the natural world. Together, we are cultivating ecosystems of care.
