FASD GIVING OLYMPICS....let the games begin!

To celebrate the Olympic Games being held in Paris this summer, The French American School of Denver will hosts its very own GIVING OLYMPICS from February 22 - March 14. For 3 weeks, classes will compete for GOLD, SILVER & BRONZE prizes... this is going to be fierce! Because every great Olympic Games starts with an Opening Ceremony and ends with a Closing Ceremony, we're planning ours too...FASD-STYLE!

OPENING CEREMONY Feb. 22

Thank you to all our FASD Families for coming out to support our OPENING CEREMONY on Feb 22nd! Classes loved making their flags and presenting them in our Parade of Atheletes. Each class added their own flame to our Olympic Torch - symbolizing our unity, and then had a blast competing in games. We are blazing our bright future together!

CLASS COMPETITION

Let the GIVING GAMES begin!

Over the course of 3-weeks (Feb 22 - Mar 14), all FASDenver Classes competed in the GIVING OLYMPICS. Total amounts raised for each week were tabulated each Friday morning by our "official judges". The winning classes were announced during the school morning announcements and received a special surprise. After Spring Break, we will award GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE prizes to the overall top 3 teams.

Have fun and support your school! All proceeds support FASD and our mission to provide a superior bilingual education to all our students. As a growing French immersion program, your support helps ensure we can recruit and retain high quality teachers from the US, France, and other countries, and helps us provide enrichment programs like our Visiting Artist program. Next year we hope to be able to engage a part time music / art teacher to expand on our arts programming.

CLOSING CEREMONY GALA Mar 21

After 3 weeks of fierce competition among our classes, it's party time parents! On March 21st, guests were transported to the FASDenver "Olympic Village" for a fun and festive gala evening featuring our silent auction, cocktails, music, and delectable fare generously donated by STK Steakhouse and Kona Grill. Dress to impress in Gold, Silver or Bronze!
