"Just a Kid from La Grange Park!" Banner Auction

The Village is so proud of our very own J.J. McCarthy that our excitement has literally taken to the streets! The banners along 31st Street were installed to celebrate La Grange Park native and College Football national champion J.J. McCarthy whose tagline “Just A Kid From La Grange Park” makes our hearts swell!

J.J. has not only captivated the nation with his remarkable talent on the field but he’s also remained deeply rooted in his community, steadfastly supporting local youth. These iconic banners serve as a testament to J.J.'s dedication, highlighting his inspiring journey from the neighborhood fields to the NFL. At the request of the McCarthy family, the displayed *banners are being auctioned with the proceeds shared by the Village, Library, and Park District for Community Programming.
