At Huntingtown United Methodist Church (HUMC) we are actively involved in partnering with local groups supporting and advocating for the hungry and the homeless. We currently support 3 missions:

HeartF.E.L.T. has been "Filling empty little tummies" for more than 11 years. This program delivers bags to local elementary and middle schools filled with evening and weekend meals to send home with children who are in subsidized school lunch programs. HUMC currently supports 4 schools in the Huntingtown area.

Project ECHO provides emergency shelter and supportive housing for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Calvert County. HUMC provides a monthly meal for residents, collects warm winter clothing, and participates in Safe Nights. The Safe Nights program is dedicated to protecting the homeless from the cold and providing shelter in a clean and safe environment. HUMC provides a week of overnight shelter and 3 meals per day to our guests.

Shirley's Place Day Center, located just over the Maryland/DC border in SE D.C., offers people experiencing homelessness a safe place to spend their days with access to showers, laundry, restrooms, mail service, and social service referrals. HUMC provides a monthly hot lunch for the clients and collects warm winter clothing.

Through the generosity and dedication of many, HUMC has made many lasting relationships over the years. All proceeds from the FUNraiser will be distributed to our mission partners.
