At Huntingtown United Methodist Church (HUMC) we are actively involved in partnering with local groups that support and advocate for the hungry and the homeless. We currently support:

HeartF.E.L.T. "Filling empty little tummies". This program delivers bags to local elementary and middle schools filled with weekend meals to send home with children in subsidized school lunch programs. HUMC currently supports 4 schools in the Huntingtown area and provides the most school meals in Calvert County - serving 60-70 children per school year. We provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals, and a snack to each child per weekend. We also provide an additional day of meals on designated school holidays. Over the past year, we began working collaboratively with Mt. Harmony/Upper Marlboro United Methodist Churches to help support this mission.

Each $40 donation provides meals for 1 child for a month.
For the school year 2024-2025, the HeartFELT teams packed and delivered 13,077 meals.

OUR GOAL: To help fund, pack, and deliver 16,000 meals for school year 2025-2026

Project ECHO provides emergency shelter and supportive housing for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Calvert County. HUMC provides a monthly hot, home-cooked meal for guests. We also do PROJECT WARM each November, where we collect warm winter clothing for those at the shelter or in encampments.

Each $30 donation will provide a guest with a place to sleep for 1 night and 3 meals.
In 2025, we helped fund the cost of 166 sheltered nights with meals for our neighbors in need.

OUR GOAL: To help fund 200 sheltered nights with meals for our neighbors in need.

Through the generosity and dedication of many, HUMC has made many lasting relationships over the years. All proceeds from the FUNraiser will be distributed to our mission partners.
