After nearly two decades, Women Build is back in Marion County—and we’re coming back stronger than ever. With a bold new vision, a powerful community of changemakers, and an ambitious goal of $75,000, we’re building more than homes. We’re building a movement.

💖 What Is Women Build?

Women Build 2025 is a month-long celebration of women working together to change lives through affordable housing. It brings together teams of women—no construction experience needed—to raise walls, raise funds, and raise each other. This isn’t just about homes. It’s about hope, equity, and opportunity.

Led by team captains, groups of 10 will commit to fundraising and building alongside each other and future Habitat homeowners. Whether you’re picking up a hammer or writing a check, your impact is real and lasting.

💡 Why It Matters

For many women, the dream of homeownership is still out of reach:

Women earn less on average than men, which limits access to loans and stable housing.
Caregiving responsibilities often prevent women from maintaining steady employment.
Single women are denied mortgages more often—despite being statistically more reliable in repayment.

Women Build answers these challenges head-on by putting tools—and power—into women's hands. Together, we build strength, stability, and independence.
