Whew .. this is the hardest part of rescue. It is absolutely heartbreaking. I promised him he would know nothing but love for the rest of his life, and even though it wasn’t as long as I hoped I definitely delivered on that promise. We tried so hard. I will do absolutely everything in my power to make sure the person that did this to him will never be able to do this to another animal ever again.

Anything raised from this auction will go to pay his last vet bills.

Anything left over will be used to start “Buddys Fund” It will be used solely for emergency cases like this. The medical bills involved can quickly become a huge expense to a smaller rescue, so when we have cases like this, we can do everything in our power to save them.

Heartland Equine Rescue is a non profit we will provide receipts at the end of the auction.

And seriously, thank y’all .. we wouldn’t have been able to do any of this without you and because of your donations and your support we were able to give him the best five days he’s probably had years.
