Helpline Youth Counseling’s 4th Annual Heroes of HYC dinner is taking place on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Liberty Community Plaza in Whittier. In conjunction with the event, we will be holding an online silent auction for some terrific prizes! See details below about our honorees and how to sponsor or buy tickets.

This year HYC is honoring ACRO Printing, Inc. as our Community Hero for their efforts with local community organizations; Credit Union of Southern California as our Leadership Hero for their funding and lending practices to make our community strong; the Dream Resource Centers, a collaborative project of HYC, the County of Los Angeles Human Relations Commission, school districts, 211-LA, and Western Justice Center, as our Visionary Hero, for their work to improve the emotional wellbeing of students affected by hate, bullying and other issues; and lastly the Long Beach Police Department as our Health Hero for their efforts on the Metro Line in Long Beach providing services to homeless people.

During our 2023/2024 fiscal year, HYC served over 25,000 individuals with our services, including Behavioral Health, Family, Youth, and Homeless and Housing Support Services. Our services are critical for the at-risk youth and families we serve. They have experienced both prolonged and recent trauma including economic distress (job loss, housing, and food insecurity), severe immigration-related stress, family functioning difficulties, and mental health concerns. Proceeds from Heroes of HYC support this work throughout the year. The Heroes event is our largest fundraising event of the year and now more than ever, we need YOUR support. HYC is a Charity Navigator four-star charity.
