In 2018, we learned a sobering truth: 50% of children in our schools relied on free or reduced lunch. This sparked a movement. That September, Hope Street Food Pantry opened its doors, and in the six years since, Hope Street has served over 1.5 million meals, offering hope and food to anyone in need.

What began as a humble basement operation on a Thursday night has blossomed into a lifeline. We now run food distributions up to 3 times a week at different locations including the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library every month. We provided stability through the pandemic and now serve over 400 families weekly, ensuring they have enough food for 3+ days.

Help us continue this vital mission! Hope Street aims to raise $50,000 to help feed around 90,000 individuals in 2024. This support will also enable us to expand our mobile pantry library program in 2025 that will take food to communities that need it most.
