About Project Black, Inc.

Project Black, Inc. (Black Pride Milwaukee, Inc.) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering Milwaukee's Black LGBTQ+ community through advocacy, education, and community-building initiatives. Since our founding in 2024, our mission has been to dismantle systemic barriers, cultivate safe spaces, and provide essential resources that promote personal and professional growth for historically marginalized individuals. We break down barriers to equal access by focusing on core areas such as Behavioral Health, Civic Engagement, Education, and Community Solidarity.

Our programs are founded on five core values:

About the "Winter Lights" Gala

The annual gala is a major fundraising event that directly supports our programs and initiatives. The "Winter Lights" theme celebrates the resilience and brilliance of our community as we illuminate the path toward a more inclusive and equitable future. The evening will include inspiring speakers, performances by local artists, and an auction benefiting our programs.

The Black Pride Milwaukee Winter Gala is more than an event; it's a celebration of resilience, visibility, and solidarity. This inaugural formal affair unites us in honoring the incredible work being done by Black queer individuals and their allies.
