Pros&Conversation is WriteBoston's annual fundraiser and celebration of transformative learning.

Join us on Thursday, May 1st to celebrate the power of writing and the value of transformative learning. This year, we'll be celebrating at the CitySpace in Boston from 5:30PM to 8:30 PM.

Pros&Conversation is an evening of storytelling, impact, and community. This year, we proudly celebrate the 20th anniversary of Teens in Print, Boston’s only citywide youth journalism program. Hear powerful stories from young writers, connect with educators and advocates, and support the next generation of storytellers. Together, we’ll honor two decades of amplifying youth voices and shaping the future of journalism.

Parking is available within walking distance of CitySpace. CitySpace is also accessible via the B branch of the Green Line and the 57 bus.

Featured Authors

Omo Moses is an entrepreneur, author, producer, and organizer. He is currently the founder and CEO of MathTalk, a public benefit, ed-tech company based in Cambridge, MA. He is the former Executive Director and a founding member of the Young People’s Project; producer of the award-winning documentary, Finding Our Folk, which features the Grammy-nominated Hot 8 Brass Band; and author of two books, Sometimes We Do (2019) and The White Peril (2025). He is the father of Johari and Kamara Moses.

Ilyon Woo is the Pulitzer-Prize-winning author of MASTER SLAVE HUSBAND WIFE: An Epic Journey from Slavery to Freedom—an instant New York Times best-seller, one of the New York Times “Ten Best Books of the Year,” a People Magazine “Top 10 Book of the Year,” and a finalist for a Kirkus Prize. She is also the author of THE GREAT DIVORCE: A Nineteenth-Century Mother’s Extraordinary Fight Against Her Husband, the Shakers, and Her Times. She holds a BA in the Humanities from Yale College and a PhD in English from Columbia University. She fell in love with books and history at the King Open School in Cambridge.
