The Art for Heart Auction is one of our main fundraisers for the Ottawa Family Pride Fund in 2023. We have received art donations from numerous generous artists and crafters that are being put up in a silent auction on Sunday, November 12th, from 3:00pm-5:00pm (CST). Proceeds from this auction, as well as the additional fundraising options that occur during the in-person event and online, will go to the Ottawa Family Pride Fund, which benefits Youth Outlook Ottawa Drop In Center.

The Ottawa Family Pride Fund was founded in 2021 by Dylan Conmy as a means to provide funding and resources for an Annual Ottawa Family Pride Fest, which would in turn raise money for the local Ottawa Drop in Center for Youth Outlook. This Drop in Center provides kids ages 12-20 with peer support, a safe space, and innumerable other resources throughout the year. The Ottawa location services over a dozen zip codes, and gives kids opportunities to find joy in being their true selves in an environment that is safe to do so. The Fund was able to give Youth Outlook Ottawa a check for $5000 the first year, thanks to our donations and sponsors, and this year we were also able to add a Scholarship Fund to the mix, which will provide opportunities for Ottawa Drop-In Youth to apply for Camp and Academic Scholarships.

Within the next 5 years, our Founder has plans to find the perfect spot to open an LGBTQ+ Center in the Ottawa area, so that the community and allies have a spot for events, recreation, medical resources, and more. These fundraisers, and general donations, help the Fund thrive and grow to make these dreams happen. Thank you in advance!
