Juvenile Justice Coalition exists to provide a youth-centered means to address the inequalities and harmful nature of the juvenile justice system. We do this through policy advocacy, community organizing, education, and nurturing leadership. Through these pillars we strive to make lasting changes that provide meaningful rehabilitation and opportunities to at-risk youth and their communities.

We work in the jails, juvenile detention centers, schools, community centers…wherever the youth are- to support, educate, mentor, and advocate for what they need to be successful. Youth prisons are not environments that support habilitation or set children up to be successful after release. We are breaking cycles of generational trauma by providing meaningful programming and resourcing, teaching proper conflict management and restorative justice, and connecting incarcerated youth with community partners who can continue to support their growth and development after release.
