The DAM Gala Art Auction returns for an evening of community, connection, and creativity!

Join us for the DAM Gala Art Auction on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 6-9pm! The night 's them is "Art for Social Good," and celebrates how artistic expression can be used to promote positive change in society. We will feature powerful artworks addressing significant social issues, fostering community resilience, and promoting creative entrepreneurship. Enjoy live music, a strolling dinner, and an auction with additional artwork and products from notable Detroit establishments. It will be an evening of inspiring art, engaging conversations, and the opportunity to support local artists and DAM’s mission.

Founded in 1932, Detroit Artists Market (DAM) is a nonprofit committed to contemporary art and to connecting artists, collectors and communities. With a history of over 90 years, DAM shows work by Metro Detroit artists, providing robust opportunities to sell their work through exhibits, a gallery store, and special events. DAM’s exhibitions are proposed in a collaborative process by a volunteer Exhibition’s committee. This committee is a group of local artists, curators, educators, and arts administrators who bring an intersectional lens to their work. DAM intentionally chooses to not rely on a single individual to ensure that while our curatorial perspective is broad, our focus remains community centric.
