Join us at the Kirkwood Volunteer Fire Department Benefit Summer Festival 2025 on Saturday, July 5th from 4:00–7:00PM at Kirkwood Mountain Resort Village Plaza! Enjoy a BBQ dinner, beer and wine, live bluegrass music from Welcome West and national touring act Tom Freund from Ben Harper, plus water games, dunk tank, face painting, a silent auction, and morning yoga with breakfast. This fun, family-friendly event supports vital staffing, training, and equipment for our local volunteer firefighters—don’t miss it!

Volunteers completing a shift receive a free ticket to the Festival ( entry, food ticket and drink ticket). Yoga helpers take the class and breakfast for free! Click the Volunteer Link!

8:00am to 9:30am Morning Yoga w/light breakfast included, limited space, ticket required

1:45pm to 2:45pm Decorate your bike, dog and person @ the KCA. Dogs should be leashed

3:00pm to 3:30pm NEW PARADE TIME Join the Kirkwood Community July 5th Bike and Dog Parade to usher the Fire Engines to the Festival. Start at the KCA and end at the Plaza Grand Staircase! Watch the trucks drive up to the festival ~ sponsored by the KCA.

ABOUT THE KIRKWOOD VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT

Serving the Kirkwood Community since 1972, the KVFD responds to emergency medical calls, structural and wildland fires within the Kirkwood Valley and surrounding areas, and provides assistance with vehicle accidents, hazardous spills, and search-and-rescue covering the area east to Carson Pass and west to Tragedy Springs Road, along Scenic Route 88. The KVFD also works in partnership with the El Dorado National Forest, California Department of Forestry, Alpine and Amador Counties, and other agencies to promote fuels reduction and water conservation efforts.
