Last year’s King’s Ball helped raised nearly $50,000 in Uknighted Fund sponsorships for the students of Christ the King Regional School — and this year we’re excited to make it even bigger. Tuition alone doesn’t cover everything it takes to provide the outstanding academic and faith-centered education our children receive. Kirk Earney – 2026 Knight of the Night

Kirk Earney exemplifies the spirit of the Knight of the Night through his unwavering Christian character, selfless service, and steadfast commitment to Christ the King Regional School and Catholic education.

In September 2020, during the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Mr. Earney joined the Christ the King Regional School community to provide critical support. This service followed his retirement after 25 years with the Haddon Township Police Department. He remained at CKRS for three years before returning to law enforcement as a School Resource Officer with the Haddonfield Police Department, a role in which he visits each public school daily while continuing to maintain a strong presence at CKRS.

Mr. Earney’s dedication to CKRS extends well beyond the school day. He has worked each summer assisting with preparations for the upcoming academic year and has generously volunteered his time helping to build sets for school theatrical productions. His passion for mentoring students is especially evident through athletics. In 2021, he was appointed head coach of the CKRS Cross Country program, a role he has proudly held for the past five years. In addition, he served as Head Track Coach during the 2022 and 2023 seasons and currently continues his service as an assistant coach.

Beyond Christ the King, Mr. Earney has continued to support Catholic education through coaching Spring and Winter Track and Field at Camden Catholic High School since 2024. His commitment to youth formation is further demonstrated through his longstanding service as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader with Troop 3064 in Haddonfield, a role he has held since 2009. Many of the scouts he mentors are CKRS students, and under his leadership, the troop has completed numerous service projects and Eagle Scout projects that have directly benefited the school community.

Mr. Earney and his wife, Jennifer, are proud parents of three children who are alumni of Christ the King Regional School: Nathan (Class of 2017), Caitlin (Class of 2020), and Aidan (Class of 2023). Their family’s deep roots in the CKRS community reflect a lasting commitment to faith, service, and education.

Through his professional service, volunteer leadership, and faithful witness, Kirk Earney embodies the values and mission of Christ the King Regional School, making him a most deserving recipient of the 2026 Knight of the Night honor.
