The Kiwanis Club of the John Chapman Foundation is guided by the Kiwanis International motto: “Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world, one child and one community at a time.” As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we strive to make every dollar count, ensuring that our fundraising efforts have the greatest possible impact on Northeast Indiana.

Our foundation directs all funds raised to support underserved children’s charities, projects, and programs across our 11-county service area, with a primary focus on Allen County and Fort Wayne. We are dedicated to creating positive change through initiatives that improve children’s educational outcomes, support domestic violence shelters, combat hunger, and provide mental health resources for adolescents. Our commitment is unwavering and inclusive, serving all in need, without regard to race, religion, politics, or other distinctions.

Q: What should I expect at ChocolateFest?
A: ChocolateFest offers an evening of fun and indulgence, featuring:
• Tables for up to 8 people (first come, first served) or reserved VIP tables*.
• A dinner meal served buffet-style with chicken and beef options, a vegetable, a starch, bread, and dessert.
• An all-you-can-eat ice cream bar, hors d'oeuvres, desserts, 3 chocolate fountains (milk, dark, and white), and dipping items.
• A band, dance floor, silent auction, Riley Bear donation opportunity, door chocolates, and more.
• Soft drinks, coffee, and tea included; a cash bar available.
• Free Wi-Fi throughout the venue.

Q: I can’t make ChocolateFest. Can I still help and donate?
A: Absolutely! Visit the “Donate and Tickets” button on our website to explore sponsorships and donation options.

Q: What is a VIP Table?
A: VIP tables accommodate up to 8 guests with special benefits listed in the VIP section. These tables can seat up to 10 guests with advance notice. Contact Jim Cherry at 260-637-8184 to arrange seating for more than 8.

Q: When do doors open?
A: Doors open at 5:30 PM. The event ends at 9:00 PM, though guests without silent auction items may leave after closing comments around 8:30 PM.

Q: What is the attire for ChocolateFest?
A: We recommend business casual or better for this special Valentine’s event.

Q: Can I buy tickets on the night of the event?
A: No, all tickets must be purchased in advance to accommodate catering and seating arrangements.

Q: Can I arrive late?
A: Yes, but you may miss some activities and prizes. Late arrivals may also need to sit separately from their group.

Q: What is the policy for children?
A: Payment is required for all participants. We discourage bringing infants due to noise and other distractions. Teens may
find the event geared more toward adults.

Q: How do I get physical tickets?
A: All tickets will be electronic this year. Upon purchase, you’ll receive an email with a QR code for your e-ticket to scan at registration. We encourage you to print or screenshot your tickets and bring them with you on the night of the event.

Q: Will there be a silent auction?
A: Yes! Bidding will be electronic, accessible via smartphone. Volunteers with computers will assist those without smartphones. The silent auction closes at 8:30 PM sharp.

Q: Can I bid on silent auction items if I can’t attend?
A: Yes! Register with your credit card and personal information. Pickup arrangements must be coordinated with Jim Cherry at 260-637-8184.

Q: Is my information shared with third parties?
A: No, your information will only be used by our foundation and for event-related communications.

Q: Is the event tax-deductible?
A: Yes, as a 501(c)(3) organization, your contributions may be tax-deductible. Consult your tax advisor for specific advice.

Q. What is the dinner meal?

A. At this time, we do not have the specifics. Typically, there will be a chicken and a beef option, a vegetable, a starch, bread and a dessert. Soft drinks, coffee and hot tea are provided and served at the bar. A cash bar is available. The meal is served buffet style.

Q. I have specific dietary needs. What alternative meals do you offer?
