LION Charter School’s spring social, Spring for the Future, aims to raise $30,000 for signature experiences for our students. We know the power of connecting students with opportunities for their future. Attending a Broadway play may inspire a student to pursue careers in the arts and performance industry. Visiting a college campus as early as 4th grade communicates to our students that college is a part of their future. Enrolling in summer courses at local colleges and universities gives our high school students an inside perspective on the college classroom and the opportunity to earn college credits.

This year’s spring event will raise funds for the following experiences:
Elementary School: All 2nd graders will see “Aladdin” and all 3rd graders will see “The Wiz” on Broadway, as the culmination of their Performing Arts curriculum.
Middle School: All 4th-8th graders will engage in college visits this spring at local, SUNY, and tri-state area institutions.
High School: All high school students will have the opportunity to apply for summer pre-college courses at area colleges and universities.
