Join us at the historic Banknote Building in the South Bronx for an evening to support global learning for LION scholars on Thursday, October 23rd, from 5:30 - 7:30 PM.

This year, LION aims to raise $25,000 through our fall social to fund transformative experiences for our students through our Middle School World Scholars Program.

We believe in the power of immersive, hands-on learning to expand students’ perspectives and ignite their potential. This year’s fall social will raise funds for:

A 7-day service learning trip to Costa Rica for 25 middle school students
Cultural exchange and environmental education opportunities
Travel, lodging, and program costs to ensure every student can participate

At the event, you’ll hear directly from students, staff, and families about the impact of the Middle School World Scholars Program. Enjoy drinks and bites with fellow community members and LION supporters, and learn how your contribution will help make this journey possible.

We're excited to make Costa Rica our 4th World Scholars destination!

LION created its Middle School World Scholars program to provide our students with the opportunity to engage with the world on a global scale. Since its launch, nearly 50 students have participated in immersive international trips to Cuba, France, and Italy. We are helping students grow into culturally competent leaders who are confident in their sense of self and understand their place in the world.
