Our first fundraising event is over three years in the making. From the first seed of an idea Chris Greenwood had in helping young people understand the variety of lesser known career paths, to today's focus on the skilled trades, Little Red Acorn's mission has always been to help people know opportunities exist, and to help start them on the path to success.

By partnering with technical and trade schools, like Trades Education Center, in just the past year Little Red Acorn has contributed $16,000 in scholarships to individuals pursuing careers in the skilled trades. Running ahead of today's news headlines, Little Red Acorn is poised to help many more people enter the skilled trades through growing partnerships with local businesses and industry leaders.

The Little Red Acorn's Inaugural Scholarship Shootout is a charity skeet shoot bringing together businesses, community leaders, and supporters to fund scholarships for students entering the trades. There's nothing quite like having fun while supporting a cause that can have a direct impact not just on your community, but possibly your own business.
