The Living Undeterred Project

The Living Undeterred Project is a Mental Wellness Initiative. We aim to educate and inspire teens and young adults to have open conversations about mental health and substance use disorders. With an emphasis on prevention, our goal is to work toward a better future, free of the stigma surrounding these issues, and ultimately save lives.

By donating to the Living Undeterred Project, your money helps us provide free education and develop curriculum for middle school, high school and college students, provide scholarships to teens & young adults, build a collective of resources, and find alternative solutions to work toward a better future.

On October 4, 2016, things got personal for me. At 50 years old, I was living the "American Dream." I was a husband, father, and successful entrepreneur. And then I got the call that is every parent's worst nightmare. Our oldest son, Seth Carnicle, had died of fentanyl poisoning. I soon realized I had two options. I could go down a road of anger and despair and become bitter, or I could use this as motivation to become better. I chose the road of better. On June 29, 2021, I lost my wife, Prudence, to alcoholism. This only further fueled my fire to make a difference and change the way we approach mental health and substance use disorders. While it isn't always an easy journey, I wake up every day and choose, despite the challenges, to LIVE UNDETERRED.
