Today, Covenant Academy is a diverse learning community of 180+ students discipled by devoted teachers. Shaping hearts and minds is a labor of love. Our teachers are highly trained and radically committed to our students. We believe that children thrive when taught by way of the Scriptures and the classical liberal arts. Covenant has been partnering with parents to provide classical and Christian education since 2003.

In 2003, a group of parents partnered together to provide a classical Christian education for their children. Classical Christian education is designed according to the development of the student and pairs great methods with great stories and skills to cultivate students who flourish as they learn.

Starting with just 56 students, classes for students in grades K-8 were formed while renting from a nearby church. In 2008, Covenant was given its nine-acre facility in the heart of Cypress, Texas. This allowed resources to be poured into faculty and students instead of buildings. By 2012, we launched our high school and graduated our first class in 2016.

In the spring of 2013, we obtained accreditation from AdvancEd (now called Cognia) to affirm that our policies, procedures and courses were in keeping with best practices in education. Being accredited affords us with many advantages and assures our students that their credits will be accepted by other institutions world wide.

By the spring of 2016, we were recommended for accreditation with the Association of Classical and Christian Schools (ACCS). In May of 2022, Covenant became officially accredited ACCS. We’re delighted to add this classical and Christian accreditation to our school’s achievements!

In the fall of 2023, we added two upper school cottages to our campus to accommodate our growth. In addition to our physical buildings, our students have access to a beautiful nature preserve.
