Rivers of Hope is a non-profit, 501c3 organization that was founded in 1989 by a group of Elk River citizens concerned with the problems of domestic violence in their community who wanted to do something to address it. For the past 35 years Rivers of Hope has been providing free advocacy services to youth and adults in Wright and Sherburne Counties.

Our Adult Services include assisting with filing Orders for Protection and Harassment Restraining Orders, Court Preparation and Accompaniment, Safety Planning and identifying available resources. Our Youth Advocates go into schools to meet with students experiencing family or teen dating violence to offer support, and cover a variety of healthy relationship related topics.

In the past year, 950 victims and survivors received free advocacy services and over 4,500 students saw one of our healthy relationship presentations.
