The Portland Arts and Vocational Education (PAVE) Centre designs specialized training programs to give students the practical experience and guidance they need to be successful in their chosen vocation. The centre’s special method consists of various distinct phases. A few of these are math and reading enhancement, self-worth, arts, vocational instruction, and life-skills.

PAVE believes that art can be a catalyst for social, personal, and environmental recovery, and provides an opportunity for international volunteers to impart their expertise and enthusiasm to PAVE students. The catalyst of this fine endeavor has been the Kendall United Methodist Church, Manfred Memorial Foundation, Merritt Family Foundation, and others who have worked for over a decade to provide training and personal growth opportunities for youth in Port Antonio, Jamaica.

The PAVE Centre has achieved remarkable success in empowering individuals through education and skill development, having certified over 239 students, resulting in an impressive 75% employment rate.
