The Messbarger Fund was created to support the next generation of CRNAs by giving Nebraska’s SRNAs, our Nurse Anesthesia Residents, the opportunity to attend National Conferences, including Washington, D.C. each April for the AANA Mid-Year Assembly.

The AANA Mid-Year Assembly Conference is the heart of national CRNA advocacy. It’s where students sit across the table from our Nebraska U.S. Senators and Representatives, to share personal stories, and speak on behalf of safe, accessible anesthesia care. It’s where future leaders learn how federal legislation shapes our practice, and how their voices can shape the future of healthcare.

For many students, attending Mid-Year is a transformative experience:

They gain firsthand experience in healthcare policy and federal advocacy.
They build confidence as they speak directly with lawmakers about the CRNA profession.
They form connections with leaders across the country who continue to mentor and inspire them.

This fundraising campaign ensures that every accredited nurse anesthesia program in Nebraska, regardless of location or financial barriers, can send passionate, prepared students to represent our state on Capitol Hill.
