Hi there! I never sought out to be on this journey but feel blessed to be on it! After years serving families as they welcomed a new member to their family, I witnessed the lack of village that existed, and after becoming a mother myself during the hight of the pandemic, I felt it first hand. I always called myself a "Misfit" someone who didn't quite fit in to what society considered normal. My neurospicy brain, my life story, my quirks that make me, me and I don't dull in hopes of shining brighter. Little did I know 2 years later I would find over 6,500 folks who felt like a Misfit too! My son was 4 months only when this started, and I have done this all voluntarily the past two years with him by my side. I feel fortune to be able to spend these years with him, and forming meaningful connections and sharing a love for our community together. I've also been the brave soul to publicly work towards a multi million dollar campus with the help of my amazing team! Together we have been navigating the ebbs and flows that come with such a large project and hope that with the communities support, we'll be able to submit another offer on the campus that the sellers and us can come to an agreement on. Two offers in, thirds a charm they say! We appreciate all of the support from our community members far and wide. Together we can make the impossible possible! Join us as we pave the wave for true change! Learn more about the Briarwood Project and all we do at www.themisfitmamasinc.org
