These funds help expand diverse community leadership so that communities are led by the diversity they embody.

Donor paddles rose as fast as Charleston steps while the DJ kept the room moving, and before dawn broke, revelers slipped back into the gloaming knowing they had fortified the bridge for the next generation of Sacramento leaders.

Strong communities depend on leaders who are prepared to manage complexity, steward resources, and serve the public responsibly. In the Sacramento region, this requires expanding access to leadership development and civic pathways. The Nehemiah Emerging Leaders Program meets that need through a selective, 10-month fellowship that prepares high-potential leaders to manage teams, steward budgets, and serve on nonprofit boards and public commissions. Our alumni go on to earn promotions, influence organizational and civic decisions, and contribute meaningfully to the long-term strength of our region.
