The 2024 NBA Champion Boston Celtics are pledging their support for Square One! The Celtics Shamrock Foundation has generously donated this authentic signed Jayson Tatum jersey, in support of Square One's work with children and families in Springfield!

Since 1883, Square One has been a celebrated leader in providing early education and family support services throughout the greater Springfield region. Tens of thousands of children and families have benefited from our unwavering commitment to producing change that results in better lives and more promising futures for children, families and the community.

In 2011, the Square One location at 947 Main Street was destroyed by a tornado, causing severe financial distress and creating a significant void for families in Springfield’s South End neighborhood.

Today, we have the opportunity to rebuild and restore our place in the community, expanding our reach and positively impacting the lives of even more children and families in our region, on the very land where our building stood prior to the 2011 disaster.

We have embarked upon a $14 million campaign to make our way “Back to Square One” with a brand new 26,000 square foot facility that will include four preschool classrooms; outdoor learning/play space; workforce development programming for youth and families; trauma-sensitive therapeutic intervention; parent education and support programming; and administrative offices.

With early support from the City of Springfield, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the Irene E. and George A. Davis Foundation, PeoplesBank, Balise Auto, the Beveridge Foundation, New Market Tax Credits, and numerous businesses and individuals, we are well on our way to this homecoming!

And, with your support, we will get there!
