One Book One New Orleans is so excited to celebrate our 20th anniversary!

Founded in 2004 as a project of the Young Leadership Council (YLC), One Book One New Orleans became a separate nonprofit organization in 2018. Originally a six-week project centered around encouraging everyone in the city to read the same book, our work has expanded to include curriculum development for adult education programs, a book club inside Orleans Parish Justice Center, and a partnership with UNO's College of Liberal Arts, Education, and Human Development.

Join us to celebrate this milestone with "Cheers to 20 Years," on Thursday, November 14, from 5:00-8:00pm at the Rusty Nail. Admission is free, and all are welcome.

Guests can look forward to a silent auction, where they will have the chance to bid on items such as website design services, a culinary experience with the Furloughed Four, and of course lots of literary-themed pieces. The Rusty Nail is generously donating a portion of the bar sales, so everyone who raises a glass to our anniversary will also be helping continue our work for the next 20 years!
