Join us for a night of music at the Hook & Ladder on Leap Day! Thursday, February 29, 2024, 6-9 pm. Students from choir, band, orchestra, and modern music will be performing. This will be our big fundraiser of the year to support the music program at South High. We are hosting a silent auction so please bid early and bid often! The auction will go live one week before our "~~Play~~ Leap! It Forward" event and we will close bidding at 8:15 pm on the evening of the performance. This year donations raised through the South High Music Boosters are being used to pay for guest instructors, repair of a band shell, repair of instruments, sheet music, expenses related to local music tours within the community, and student scholarships for a music tour to St. Louis. Please join us on the evening of February 29 to hear great music and help us achieve our fundraising goal for the year!

Auction will OPEN for bidding on Thursday, Feb 22 and END Thursday, Feb 29 at 8:15 pm!

We will also have two separate RAFFLES for two special experiences, thanks to the generosity of two parents of South High music students. Tickets for each raffle will be $20 (CASH ONLY) and the drawing will be held near the end of the evening at the Hook & Ladder:

For the first raffle, Amy Brown, co-founder of the award-winning Chowgirls Catering, will host an IN-HOME COOKING DINNER PARTY for up to six guests and provide a copy of her cookbook, Chowgirls Killer Party Food. Amy will come to the winner’s home, create a nice table-scape, and prepare dinner. Invite some friends and enjoy award-winning fare! ($600 value)
The second raffle is for a HALF-DAY GUIDED FISHING TRIP ($400 value). Brian Nerbonne, Minnesota DNR Regional Fisheries Manager, will provide a half-day guided fishing trip for two people on a Twin Cities lake or trout fishing on a stream near Red Wing. Gear, bait and potentially fish filleting included. What a great opportunity to get out on the water and learn from the best!
