Background

The Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Foundation (PCICF) provides an opportunity for clinicians, patients and their families, medical and pharmaceutical industries, and other foundations to make donations to support medical and nursing clinical outreach, education, and research to improve patient care in underserved communities around the world.

Mission

The mission of the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Foundation (PCICF) is to improve the lives of children and adults with congenital or acquired heart disease by supporting a diverse global community of clinicians with education opportunities and research support.

The Foundation’s current goal is to raise $100,000 by 2025 to provide virtual education to nurses in low and middle income countries. Nurses are vital to the care of children and adults with congenital and acquired heart disease, but many clinicians globally do not have access to the latest developments in the field, nor the financial resources to connect with experts.
