Each year, Point Isabel Independent School District proudly hosts the Annual Superintendent Scholarship Fishing Tournament, a signature event that brings together anglers, families, sponsors, and community partners for a shared purpose—investing in the future of our students.

What began as a fishing tournament has grown into a meaningful South Texas tradition rooted in generosity, camaraderie, and Tarpon pride. Through the support of dedicated sponsors, participants, and volunteers, this tournament plays a vital role in raising scholarship funds that directly benefit Point Isabel ISD students as they pursue higher education and career goals.

Over the past four years, the Superintendent Scholarship Fishing Tournament has awarded more than $200,000 in scholarships, opening doors of opportunity and easing the financial burden for countless students and families across our district. These scholarships represent more than financial assistance—they symbolize belief, encouragement, and community support for the next generation of leaders.
