On behalf of the ¡Primavera! Committee, we thank you for your generosity and support for Puerta Abierta Preschool, the only Spanish-immersion preschool in Evanston servicing the community and beyond. We are extremely grateful for your help towards meeting our fundraising goal to support our wonderful school.

The ¡Primavera! Committee is responsible for leading the school's largest evening fundraiser. As with most schools, tuition alone does not cover operating costs that include staff compensation, classroom equipment, supplies, rent, repairs, insurance, and financial aid. This event was created to bridge the gap between the school’s tuition income and its expenses. Since the preschool's inception in 1997, the founder, Maria Weisgal, prioritized inclusion in every aspect so much she chose the name Puerta Abierta, translating to Open Door. Twenty eight years later, Puerta Abierta is proud to stay true to its name as it continues to keep the door open to all children, regardless of their income level, and provides tuition for families who qualify.
