Stand Down Gaming is a collection of Veterans and Gamers with the aim of fostering the positive aspects of our hobbies. Creativity, Healing, Camaraderie and Community are our mission and goal, using gaming as the means to accomplish that goal.

We are dedicated to our brothers and sisters who have served or are still serving, as well as the communities we call our home. It is that dedication that binds us.

Stand Down Gaming uses in-person, online, and other sources of gaming as a common ground between our civilian and veteran members. Here friendships are fostered, community is strengthened, and stress and depression are overcome to provide us all with the clarity, inspiration, camaraderie and fun we all require at times.

Beyond gaming, our community is full of individuals who understand the difficulties of transitioning to civilian life, the unique issues faced by veteran and military family members, and the weight of life we all bear. We care, and are always available to chat or help out as we can.

Through gaming sessions, meetups, chat and other forms of networking and communication, we make available to our members and our communities a pool of like-minded individuals with common goals and backgrounds, shared experiences and valuable experience in navigating military and civilian life, all in a form that is engaging and stress relieving.
