We are honored to welcome Monica Morales as our host for the evening.

Monica Morales is an eight-time Emmy Award-winning TV host at PIX11 News, content creator, and founder of Monica Makes It Happen, a multiplatform franchise built on turning storytelling into real action. Since 2016, she has focused on the issues that matter most to families, particularly moms, from financial empowerment and career access to food insecurity, housing, and community support. Through her work, Morales has built powerful public-private partnerships that deliver tangible resources directly to communities. Monica Makes It Happen earned back-to-back Community Service Emmy Awards in 2024 and 2025, an extraordinary recognition of both journalistic excellence and measurable impact. She is also a National Emmy Award recipient for Breaking News, an Edward R. Murrow Award winner for investigative reporting, and has been recognized by New York City leadership for her coverage of the housing crisis. Morales was profiled by the Columbia Journalism Review for her pioneering advocacy journalism and is among the few reporters dedicated to daily coverage of public housing issues. Her TED Talk, Moms Make It Happen, highlights the power of women as drivers of change. Inspired by her late mother, a Bolivian immigrant who worked tirelessly to support her family, Morales continues to uplift everyday heroes and changemakers, bringing a national perspective to deeply local, community-first storytelling.

We are proud to honor Natalie Cuchel, whose vision and leadership helped shape the foundation of Roads to Success and its enduring impact over the past 25 years.

As Founding Executive Director, Natalie led the organization with a bold belief that every young person, regardless of circumstance, deserves access to opportunity, guidance, and a supportive community to help them thrive. Her tenure was defined not only by strategic growth, but by a deep and unwavering commitment to the young people and communities RTS serves. Natalie fostered a culture rooted in equity, compassion, and possibility, values that continue to guide the organization today. Even beyond her time as Executive Director, Natalie’s connection to RTS remains strong and deeply personal. As a current member of the Board of Directors, she continues to help shape its future. In a true full-circle moment, she also shares her passion for wellness by teaching yoga at RTS Brooklyn program sites, engaging directly with the very youth whose lives she set out to uplift. Natalie’s legacy is woven into every success story, every milestone, and every life touched by Roads to Success. As we celebrate 25 years of impact, we are honored to recognize her extraordinary contributions and the lasting foundation she helped build for generations to come.
